Obviously it meant something, Bedrock. Get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?
The difference is that we understand our losses, confront our shortcomings and cope with it, instead of running from one alliance to another to another (ad infinitum it seems) in an attempt to "flee" the responsibility that comes with the decisions we make. At least that is how I preceive the situation, how about you?
Last comment on the egg and the position that FIX should not trust BoB because they destroyed the egg: BoB has always, and I emphasize always, been forthright and trustworthy in it's dealings with FIX. Until the day comes that this does not occur, who would you choose, those like BoB or those like HF who go from +ve standing to cyno field opening in the blink of an eye? Or for that matter, should we trust those like SA who proclaimed they had no desire for Catch and then we read Trigger posting in reply to me that if FIX had given up Catch all this would not have happened? Or should we trust Imp Alliance, who, after being paid to merc against the coalition, took the money and continued attacking with the coalition against FIX? Do you see where this is leading?
Honestly folks, you can tell the metal of a person, a corporation or an alliance based on what they do when they are down. In testing FIX's metal, remember, FIX is currently down but still fighting, still striving to succeed, still planning for the future and still here. FIX has been depleted in numbers and in assets, but FIX moves forward towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Unlike other alliances that folded and faded away, and unlike some of the other alliances that cannot act on their own to accomplish anything significant in this game, FIX set it's own course and took control of it's destiny. In the very recent past the "gangbanging" of FIX seemed as though it would destroy this once well-respected alliance. The funny part is, even considering the massive losses in membership that FIX sustained, the desire and drive of those remaining has not waned at all. In fact, it has heightened.
In closing I should remark on a couple of other things:
(1) FIX was once listed in the top 3 PvP alliances in the game. Great respect was shown to FIX. FIX has lost much of that respect in the eve community, but not in the eyes of those who know what FIX came from, where it went, what it accomplished and where it is going. Having said that, FIX will need to earn the community's respect again, something it looks forward to accomplishing.
(2) Trigger commented in the 19 page locked thread, and in response to me, about SA's relationship with Evolution and how I needed to brush up on my information before posting certain things. In response to Trigger, I think I should point out the following:
I am well aware of your relationship with Evol. That was a point of contention within BoB when they first interdicted SA and HF and their attempts the first time to remove FIX from Catch. It was not Trigger that caused the problems SA now is faced with concerning BoB. I think we all know who is responsible for these problems. In fact, if what Trigger had agreed to at the time had come to fruition, we would all not be having these discussions and there would have been not attempt to "gangbang" FIX.
With regard to my knowledge, I have not played the game for awhile, but I have not left it either. If you do not believe that, then ask Bedrock, who seems to gig FIX every chance he gets. Or you could ask any of the FIX officials or any corporation CEO whether or not I was privy to sufficient information to know the facts, both perceived and real. If you think I am working from a lack of knowledge, then you, sir, are gravely mistaken. However, our perceptions of the facts and the truth differ. Let us leave it at that.
